I just got a copy of this Bible. It is vastly different from the Bible you are used to. The message is the same, the translation isn’t different, but the way it is presented is entirely different. This looks and feels more like a high-end magazine, complete with columns, block-quotes, highlights, and full page vivid photographs. This might just be what you want to share with that friend who thinks the Bible is boring, but hasn’t ever read it.

Too funny!  I couldn’t pass up sharing this.

• Where’d the bailout money go?
  
  • First of all, this absolutely blows my mind that our govenment/corporations are allowed to handle hundreds of billions of dollars so carelessly and that they don’t have to publicly disclose its use.  This is the biggest scam in history.
  • What can/should we do to protest this?  I have already moved all of my money from banks involved and moved it to the local credit union (except the mortgage).  But what else can be done?  Have we given our government and corporations such authority that we can only watch and complain?

Hope of gifts from a jolly guy in a red suit?  No, happiness from presents, material things, is temporary and I think everyone knows that.

Hope of something bigger maybe?

This baby, regardless of what Ricky Bobby says, did grow up.  This baby, as an adult said and did some amazing things.  Often the things he said were quite polarizing.  The things he did changed our world.  Look at how we count years…(BC/AD)

Who this baby was IS now means everything to me.  What he did and is doing has changed my life more than I can describe.  The disappearance of anger and the rise of continuous joy in my life are statements on their own.  So maybe this baby represents change.

When he first showed up in my life, it is as if he was saying, “This isn’t good enough, you must change…I want more for you.”  Before I could say “I can’t”, he was offering his hand-his words, his family and his spirit. Out of this comes passion, strength, change, love, forgiveness, and hope for the future.  There is that word again.  So when you look at that plastic baby in somebody’s front yard, and remember the rest of the story, what do you hope for?

The admin page looks and works much better than 2.6.  Though, when I changed themes it corrupted the database.  Tried again and got the same result.
